Objectives

The analysis of lipid droplet composition in specific genetically modified mouse models with deregulated lipid droplet formation is invaluable in approaching the functional aspects of lipid-protein interaction, in vivo.

Multiple mouse models have been used to address the functional relationship between lipid droplet formation and the progression of lipid droplet associated disorders, however comparative studies on mouse models as well as translation to the human system are highly heterogeneous and fragmented.
